The Young Years
There is nothing one can pin as a strange detail of Valeria’s upbringing that would hint at what would become her adult life. Growing up, Lukyanov was normal for the Soviet Union. Her father, Valery Lukyanov, worked as a builder. Her mother, Irina Pashkeeva, worked for the Soviet Army. Her life wasn’t lavish or impoverished. There weren’t any strong influences like activists, politicians, artists or international criminals. It was, for lack of a better word, boring.
Daughter of a DJ
There was one small uniqueness in the Lukyanov house. When dad wasn’t building, he was spinning records. Valery didn’t become famous as a DJ, but he liked to entertain as a hobby. Between the building and DJ work, he made enough to support the family, but the DJ work exposed his daughter to the party element some.
Her Mother Irina
Valeria’s mother, Irina, is a free thinker, a clear influence on Valeria. Irina raised Valeria to live an astral life, one where Valeria believes she is from another planet. We’ll come back to that in a second. Mom never discouraged Valeria from her notions about her existence, no matter how far fetched.
