Five NFL Players That People Love to Hate

The NFL is the most popular league in North American sports and is full of the most beloved athletes on the planet. In addition to these athletes that are loved, there are also a number that are constantly hated on, no matter what they do. For some, it has to do with the way they act, the way they play, their success and more. Here are five NFL players that fans simply love to hate.

1. Ndamukong Suh

Of anyone on this list, I doubt anyone deserves the hate they get more than this guy. Suh has a big reputation among fans and players alike for being a dirty player and bully on the field with incidents such as stepping on another player and kicking one in the groin. Off the field he isn’t much better as he has had numerous driving and traffic violations. If his goal is to lose a bunch of fans and make a lot of enemies, he is surely doing that.

2. Tony Romo

This is one of the more strange examples, but Romo is without a doubt hated more than almost any other quarterback. He isn’t a cocky guy, not a dirty player and hasn’t really won much, so why so much hate? Well a likely reason is that he is the starting quarterback for “America’s Team” and thus is always under the spotlight, but has never been able to produce Dallas with a Super Bowl or even a deep playoff run. He also has a ton of doubters who feel he is overrated, which is likely partly to blame for the hate he gets.

3. Aqib Talib

While Talib himself has been a pretty solid player throughout his career, he has found himself on a number of different teams. One thing that has followed him throughout his career, however, is the amount of hate he gets. Back during his days with the Bucaneers to his current days with the Super Bowl Champion Broncos, he has never been well liked by most fans and certain players alike. It is his cocky attitude, trash talk and what some would call dirty play that has led him to find a spot in this article.

4. Richard Sherman

Sherman really burst onto the scene a few years ago and almost immediately began getting hate right from the get go. His brash and cocky attitude rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but problem for them, his skill and play on the field was able to back it up. His post-game rant on Michael Crabtree was also one of the biggest and most viral post-game interviews of all time and led to a bunch of hate from people who really didn’t even know him.

5. Tom Brady

Tom Brady isn’t really hated for his cockiness, brash attitude or dirty play, but simply by the fact he is a winner. Brady and the Patriots get a ton of hate from fans all across the NFL because they simply find ways to always be near the top of the totem pole. There are some who feel Brady is also a crybaby who gets unfair calls from officials, but the fact he is a winner is likely the biggest culprit of the hate he gets. Plus, he has one of the most beautiful women in the world as his wife.
