Sometimes, a single hole can be so crazy and spectacular that it can take on a life of its own and transcend the fame of the course with its beauty. This is probably the absolute best opening hole in golf and without a doubt one of the most scenic in Ireland, which is very impressive as Ireland is full of gorgeous and breathtaking holes and courses. You can seemingly see forever at this teebox and can see everything from rolling hills, to a beach to natural dunes as you move down the course. This is just one of those holes that you never want to end.

Now of all the courses out there, this one is just amazing to see. As soon as you step foot on this course, you are likely thinking about this one shot on 17th. On this hole, your shot and club selection needs to be perfect. The course is basically a single shot from the tee to the green, which is surrounded by water in the middle of a lake. No fairways, fringe or rough present at all. Truly a breathtaking view, amazing shot and an unforgettable hole.

3. 18th Hole at Pebble Beach

Of all the courses out there, fewer are more breathtaking than Pebble Beach in California that hugs the Pacific Ocean. And in a course full of gorgeous holes, the 18th is unquestionably the best. While It has mind blowing beauty and scenery thanks to the ocean, trees and gorgeous lines, its strategy takes it to a whole other level. It is a simple risk/reward strategy. How close should you try to get to the water in order to get a better lie? There is likely no feeling like stepping up to this hole.
