These are 3 of the Best Podcasts in Sports

With the always evolving digital world, sports fans have more media to choose from at their fingertips than ever before. And one of the newest and most popular forms to absorb this media is a podcast. There are dozens of podcasts on a variety of sports. For this article, I only included general sports podcasts, but there are some great sport specific ones out there that you should make an effort to check out as well.

1. First Take

While you may not agree with their views on things, there is no doubting that Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless are entertaining to watch and listen to. The two go head to head on a variety of the biggest news in sports and often have great guests as well. While they are not often liked by certain athletes for their over the top and sometimes dramatic points of view and subject matter, if you are into being entertained, listening to this podcast show is a great idea.

2. PTI

This is a fantastic show that is similar in a way to First Take, but then totally different at the same time. The show involves Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser going over the biggest news in sports. However, this show is more of a “rapid fire” as the two only have a short minute or so to talk about each topic before moving on to the next. If you want a great, humorous and informative look at all things sports on a given day, PTI is definitely your show.

3. The Bill Simmons Podcast

Bill Simmons is among the best sports analysist and columnists in the world and thus, it is no surprise that his podcast is one of the best out there. He is beloved for the fact that he is a huge fan first (and his writing point of view reflects this) and his writing often mixes his sports knowledge with pop culture and more. His podcast frequently has guests that span all over the place from athletes to celebrities and more. If you want to get to know your favorite athletes and stars and be entertained by one of the best analysts in the business, check this show out.
