Twitter isn’t only a great place to get news and information, it can also be an amazing source of entertainment. In addition to all of this, it can be a great way to follow along with your favorite NBA player through their everyday life. However, with some players, you can get the best of both worlds as thee players can often have extremely entertaining accounts. Here are five basketball players you should be following on Twitter.
1. Andre Iguodala
Andre Iguodala has been around to a couple of different teams in the league and is a current member of the 73-9 Golden State Warriors. Best known for his tenacity on the court, he should also get some notoriety for his twitter account. He regularly makes funny tweets about his day to day life, music and through his Twitter account you can learn that the guy REALLY likes golf. And somehow, this guy was able to secure the @andre handle, which was no easy task I’m sure.
2. Javale McGee
For years Javale McGee has not only been entertaining us on the court with his play and silly antics, but also on Twitter. Shaqtin’ a Fools favorite NBA player is a riot to follow on twitter as you never know what he will post. It could be a funny line (usually in all caps), could be a silly photo or a snapchat with a crazy filter, or it could even be a tweet about how his veganism lasted a week and he is stopped because he has a headache. He really is among the most random tweeters and that is why we love him.
3. Joel Embiid
Despite still not playing in an NBA game after having a nagging injury for a few years, Embiid is really a must follow. His commentary on things going on in the NBA and around the world are great, but there is one thing that put his twitter on the map. And this one thing was the fact that he is obsessed with Rihanna. For months Embiid would post hilarious Photoshops of him and the R and B singer, amassing thousands of new fans in the process.
4. Nick Collison
Not many people would expect to see this Thunder big man in this article, but he is a must follow. His account is just pure comedy and what makes it even better is that he never takes himself too seriously. To be a truly funny person (or have a truly funny account) you need to be able to roll with the punches and not be afraid to be the center of your own jokes. Whether it is funny comments on recent games he was in or simply talking about his day to day life, he is hilarious.
5. Kendall Marshall
While Marshall’s NBA career hasn’t really come to amount into anything crazy, his Twitter game is unmatched by anyone. It is not difficult at all to find an amazing tweet by Marshall, as they come very frequently. While his account is largely comedy and his funny and relatable thoughts on various things, he is also not afraid to speak his mind at all.
